Is Nichushkin a lock to make the team?

Anyone know much about Gazdic? Pretty under the radar guy, the Oilers broadcast was raving about him last night, some concern he may have to go through waivers and might get poached?

Yes.

I don't know much about him other than he appears to be a depth player at best. I believe he has averaged about 20 points and 100 PIM with the Texas Stars over the last 3 years and might be useful as an emergency callup.

My cousin is a huge fan of Chiasson. What are your projections in terms of points for the youngster?

I just read that Gazdic was put on waivers so if he clears (and he should), he will be back with the Texas Stars. Still is a useful type player to have available.

Dallas may surprise this year.

Hard to say until the lines are finalized but I think he will be on the 2nd line with Ray Whitney so he will have good scoring opportunities. He has also played the last couple of preseason games on the 1st PP unit as they employed a 4 forward look. He is really good in front of the net and adept at redirecting pucks so if he stays on the 1st unit, he could really add to his scoring playing with Benn, Seguin, Gonchar and Cole.
